The 12 Days of Christmas WOD π
on Christmas Eve
This year’s 12 Days of Christmas workout is a FOR TIME challenge. Complete the movements following the structure of the classic holiday carol—starting with Day 1, then adding each subsequent movement as you go (e.g., 1, 2-1, 3-2-1, etc.).
The WOD:
1. Day 1: Strict Pull-Up
2. Day 2: 200m Run
3. Day 3: DB Power Cleans (35/20)
4. Day 4: Jumping Pull-Ups
5. Day 5: Box Jumps (24/20)
6. Day 6: DB Front Squats
7. Day 7: Knees to Chest
8. Day 8: Alt. Jumping Lunges
9. Day 9: DB Shoulder to Overhead
10. Day 10: Single DB Sit-Ups**
11. Day 11: No-Push-Up Renegade Rows***
12. Day 12: DB Thruster
π₯ CrossFit Tips of the Week
• Warm Up with Purpose: Prepping your body properly is essential for high-volume workouts like the 12 Days of Christmas. Focus on mobility for shoulders, hips, and hamstrings.
• Find Your Rhythm: Longer WODs require pacing. Start steady and maintain a manageable pace—don’t go all out in the early rounds.
• Use Efficient Transitions: Minimize downtime between movements. Small steps like setting up your equipment before the WOD can save precious seconds.
• Hydrate Beforehand: Even in colder weather, hydration is critical for performance and recovery. Start sipping water 1-2 hours before class.
• Know Your Limits: Scaling isn’t weakness; it’s smart training. Choose weights and movements that challenge you but keep you moving consistently.

π‘ Coaching Tip of the Week
“Pace Yourself in Long WODs.”
When tackling longer workouts like the 12 Days of Christmas, resist the urge to sprint through the early rounds. Find a rhythm, focus on efficient transitions, and save energy for the heavier reps toward the end.
